Angie Dobransky is a success coach, speaker, writer, and thought leader. She is a lover of life, a connector of people, and she finds joy in showing others the path to their full potential. Humble beginnings led to working her way through college. Then came a couple of decades in fashion as a buyer and a vendor. Next came owning and operating a business coaching franchise for over a decade. Now the founder of RAD Strategic Partners, she leads retreats in Baja Mexico and works with people dedicated to growth, development, and living a life of passion, purpose & joy.

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.

Right now it’s me, my husband and a super cool cat named Dave. I have a 27-year-old son out finding his way in the world.

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?

My business at core is about inspiring people to live their dreams, and the joy that brings me defies description!

Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?

Jaleo is a long-time favorite, going back to their first location when I was a buyer at Woodies.

Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?

Forever.

Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?

Jim Miklaszewski, a journalist, and the guy you always want to sit next to at a dinner party for the most interesting conversation.

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?

Mexico, we were just about ready to start our building project when the pandemic hit and now I really miss the place and wonder how it has fared.

Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?

“This is Spinal Tap” is my all-time favorite movie.

Q: What advice would you give to people?

Be cool with who you are and stand up for what you want.

Q: What is something on your bucket list?

Skinny dip in 7 seas. I have completed 4.

Q: What is your go to band when you can’t decide what to listen to?

Lenny Kravitz or Chuck Brown. They always lift my spirit.

Q: What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?

Woodward & Lothrop.

Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?

Martha Stewart, she has long been my idol and I think she would be a fun lunch date.

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?

The diversity of culture that can be experienced through food.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?

Living on the Pacific and the Atlantic and changing the world, one life at a time!

Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?

I like to think I have been a lion at some point in time.

Q: What is the most beautiful place you have ever been?

La Parola Pizza in Todos Santos, BCS Mexico. The view literally takes my breath away.

Q: Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?

August, Halloween, my birthday.

Q: What would you rate a 10 out of 10?

Dinner at Fiola.

Q: Who inspires you to be better?

My clients.

Q: What is one or two of your favorite smells?

Vanilla and rosemary.

Q: Finally, what 3 words or phrases come to mind when you think of the word HOME?

Safe, Mine, Comfort.
